She was the ever consummate Lady. She was meek and mild; soft and sweet. She loved pretty things and dressing up for her family. She would never leave the house without putting on her lipstick. Our father adored her and was most always by her side. They lovingly cared for each other for just over 50 years. Their love and devotion was an example to all. Mom used to love her morning coffee with crossword puzzles. She liked her soap operas, and Danielle Steele novels. Mom loved making our house a home. She liked to bake, to clean, and to take care of her family. She cherished being Mrs. James B. Cluck. She loved being Rick and Diannes mother. She had also enjoyed many good years loving her daughter-in-law, Kim and son-in-law, Marty. Mom was proud to be the grandmother to three handsome boys, Brian, Keith and Brock. She was happy to have been recently blessed with two new granddaughters, Olivia and Alexis; and daughter-in-law, Lynne. Mom was very proud of all of the successes of her children. God gave Mom an Angel on earth named Sharon Adams to care for her the last months of her life. She said Sharon was her friend. Sharon lovingly and selflessly cared for our mother and will be family to us forever. Family members and friends said their goodbyes to Mom this week. God took her home on Friday, October 22, 2004, in the afternoon. We love you mom; you were the best. Well see you again in Heaven someday. Teach them how to bake a gingerbread cake with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Marcheta is survived by her husband, James Cluck; her son, Rick Cluck; daughter, Dianne Lundy; sisters, Mildred Walker, and Beverly Ryan; half- brother, Tom Ott; and half-sister, Linda Pickett. She is also survived by her grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary.
