Juergen will be remembered for his wonderful storytelling and buoyant laugh. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Competition horseshoes and archery were other pastimes he enjoyed. He loved cooking and feeding all. Employed at Mt. Mesa Market as a meat cutter, he enjoyed his customers as they did him. He previously worked for Kern Valley Meat Packing. Juergen is survived by wife, Grace; sons, Scott and Steven; mother, Irmgard; brother, Ernie; sister, Roberta Isbell, and their families. He was preceded in death by father, Jim Obert and brother, James Obert. A celebration of his life will be held November 7th, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Archery Range in Lake Isabella, off Erskine Creek, next to Mtn. View Southern Baptist Church.
