Dennis Lee Brooks

A chapel service will be held for Dennis Lee Brooks, 58, on Wednesday, October 
27, 2004, at 2 p.m., at Peters Funeral Home. Rev. Thomas E. Baker of Home 
Fellowship will officiate at the service. 

Dennis was born in Bakersfield, and he lived his entire life in Shafter. He 
was a mild mannered man and kept to himself, but was a good husband, father 
and friend. He felt at times his presence was insignificant, though he never 
truly realized just how much of an impact he had on those whose life he 
touched. He married Mary McCormick on November 12, 1964, in Las Vegas, and the 
couple shared many happy years together. His favorite pastime was hanging out 
in his garage restoring old cars. Dennis was greatly loved and will be sorely 
missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary; sons, Danny and wife, Pam of 
Shafter, and Donny and wife, Carrie of Fayetteville, Arkansas; mother, Vada 
Woodard of Bakersfield; sister, Patricia Beach of Bakersfield and 3 
grandchildren.
