She always jokingly remarked how she came to the U.S. just to see him. She first moved to Miami, AZ, then to Exeter and eventually to Bakersfield, where she met her husband, Pedro. They married December 26, 1931 and then moved to the Di Giorgio and finally settling in Lamont. She was employed by Di Giorgio Farms for several years, opting to become a homemaker. Her husband, Pedro, a daughter, Rose De Leon and sons, Roy and Ruben Ramirez preceded Maclovia in death. Those surviving Maclovia include a son, Richard Ramirez of Bakersfield; a daughter, Shirley Perez of San Diego and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thanks is extended to the Staff at Evergreen Healthcare-Arvin for the wonderful care they provided for the last few years.
