Lola Marie Parker was born on May 8, 1921 in Alamosa, Colorado and she passed away on October 23, 2004. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Mack Parker, both parents and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Keith Sackewitz; son, Rod Parker; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers. Lola was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lola had a gentle, sweet and loving spirit. She was a true lady. In her last years when communication became difficult, she was still able to convey her sweet spirit through her beautiful smile and gentle touch. Lola had a love for music, baseball, games and dancing. Lola will be greatly missed by her family, but we feel peace that she has returned to her Heavenly home to be reunited with her sweetheart Mack. Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave. Special thanks to Optimal Hospice staff for their tender care this past year, and to those who have cared for Lola at Beverly Manor the past four months.
