Jeanette, 85, passed away after a lengthy illness October 22 at the Bishop Care Center in Bishop, CA. Bishop had been their residence for the past 13 years. Jeanette was born in Bakersfield on April 26, 1919 to Noble D. and Abbie G. Stutzman. She attended Kern County Union High School, Bakersfield Junior College and U.C.L.A. where she met Robert Paschall, a graduate student in the field of Geology, and they were married June 29, 1941. Jeanette was a very talented artist and seamstress and loved to garden, read, and travel, visiting many countries as well as the Eastern Sierras. She had always loved the mountains. As a child she had spent many summers at the family cabin on White River on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. After moving to Bishop she and Robert spent many hours exploring all the surrounding mountains. In spite of her health problems, Jeanette always came up smiling. She was a devoted student of philosophy which contributed to her remarkable empathy for other people and their problems. She was a good listener and easily made friends. She will be missed by all those who knew her and many others who were a part of her life. Jeanette is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Paschall; son, Glenn Pascall of Seattle, WA; daughter, Marjorie Grant and her husband, Larry of Sacramento, CA; grandsons, Darryl, Curtis and Kevin Grant, and Damon Paschall; and granddaughter, Karen Everett of Walker, LA; and four great-grandchildren. Also, brothers, James and wife, Jean Stutzman, Richard and wife, Evelyn Stutzman of Bakersfield, and Carl and wife, Mary Stutzman of Fresno, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
