Services: Sat., Nov. 13, 11 a.m. 

Edith B. Cooper passed away on October 29, 2004, at the age of 86. She was 
born in Coalinga, CA to Thomas and Effie Stewart. She was raised in Taft, CA. 
She had been married to her beloved husband, A.T. Jack Cooper for 64 years. 
They raised three children and spent 25 years in Alaska and later spent 15 
years in Brookings, Oregon, before returning to Bakersfield, CA.

Edith enjoyed fishing in Alaska and won many Blue Ribbons for her needlework 
and painting. She was a very talented lady. She was deeply loved by her family 
and will be truly missed.

Edith was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Ross Cooper; her daughter, 
Gloria Marston; her brothers, Quicksell, Allan and Wesley Stewart; her 
sisters, Rena Hansen, Sadie Skaggs, Nadine Wilde, and Grace Fimple. She is 
survived by her devoted husband, Jack Cooper; son and daughter-in-law, Chris 
and Dianne Cooper; sister, Betty OBrien; grandchildren, Connie Cormier, Tim 
Cooper, Keely Cooper, Marcy Chapman, Tammy Marston, Lloyd Marston and Teena 
Steele; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many 
nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful people from 
Optimal Hospice who cared for Edith.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Edith at the home of her grandson and 
wife, Tim and Michele Cooper, 10815 Myers Ranch Court, Bakersfield, Saturday, 
November 13, 11:00 a.m.
