Douglas was a member of Ham Radio Association, and a radio operator W60Q0 with Kern Ham Radio. He also was a member of the Genealogical Society and was an avid amateur photographer. Douglas also served his country in World War II in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Eleanor Lindsey. Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Fay; daughter, Cindy Henson of Bakersfield, CA; son, Steve Lindsey of Bakersfield, CA; sisters, Marjorie Ellesmere-Jones of Madera, CA; brother, Willis Lindsey of Aptos, CA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
