Sarah was born July 5, 1914 in Egypt, Arkansas. She will be grieved by her sons, Dudley of Hawaii, Roger of Shafter, Woody of Gonzales, Ca, Cedric of Wasco and an extended family. Sarah was a beloved matriarch of a large family. Four sons, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A far cry from her humble upbringing. Sarah at the age of 9, lost all of her family except her father in a drowning accident near El Centro, in Southern California. She traveled around the United States with her father, looking for work. She never graduated from elementary school, but this did not stop her from becoming the wisest women known in the lives of her family. After her father remarried, she grew up in California, near Pixley. After her marriage to Buck Worthy, she dedicated herself to her husband and her boys. She taught her boys as she would have liked to have been taught. She lived as an example of honesty, truthfulness, love and hard work. She was truly a partner to her farmer husband, working side by side and never neglecting her boys. Her hobbies were gardening and making sure the boys were safe. Her oranges were renowned and always brought the family together to help her pick and enjoy the fruits of her labor. If it is truly the secret of life-everlasting, is to love and to be loved. Sarah was called by her Lord because she had been successful in her time on earth. She was truly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She gave love without reservation and always had a smile. The bible was her constant companion, the life of Jesus was her inspiration and her family was her passion.
