Ruby Nell Hamilton

Visitation for Ruby Nell Hamilton will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles Street) on Thursday evening November 18, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. Graveside 
services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, on Friday morning, November 
19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. 

Ruby N. Hamilton was born July 2, 1936 in Wichita Falls, Texas and she passed 
away on November 14, 2004 in Bakersfield, California. Ruby was preceded in 
death by her husband of 39 years, Leoren Oak Hamilton; and she is survived by 
her daughter, Lanora Birdwell; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Edwards and Lindsay Rah 
and her husband, Clint; 2 great-grandchildren, Vanyel Ray and Melayna Edwards 
and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed making 
care packages of graham crackers and cookies for her grandkids (in their 
younger years) and more recently for her great-grandchildren. Ruby lived in 
Bakersfield for over 42 years. She was very proud to be a life-time member of 
the VFW Womens Auxillary. She loved her dog Buster. She was loved by all that 
knew her and she will be deeply missed. For additional service information or
