Amie Dawn Valpey

May 2, 1971 – Nov. 4, 2004

Tehachapi resident Amie Dawn Valpey was born May 2 1971 and passed away on 
Nov. 4. She was 33 years old. 

Amie worked for Kieffe and Sons Ford in Mojave for several years as a 
secretary and most recently as office manager of Saint Joseph Communications 
in Tehachapi. Her greatest loves in life were family, friends, children, music 
and camping. Amie was a parishioner of St. Malachy Catholic Church. 

Amie is survived by her mother, Doni (Evans) Burnley of Tehachapi and father, 
Richard Valpey of Mojave. Marty Burnley was Amie's other dad and Nancy (Carll) 
Valpey was Amie's other mom. She is also survived by grandparents William and 
Frances Valpey of Mojave and Patsy Moses of Gulfport, Miss.; four brothers, 
Scott Baldwin, Richard Hendy, Terry Burnley and Christopher Valpey; her 
sister, Jennifer Wolfe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was 
preceded in death by her grandparents Donald Evans, Coy Moses, James Carll; 
uncle, William Valpey Jr. and youngest brother, Brandon Baldwin. 

Services were provided by Wood Family Funeral Service and a Catholic Funeral 
Mass was held on Nov. 10 at St. Malachy Catholic Church.
