Moss June 7, 1938 November 13, 2004 Services: Sat., Nov. 20, 1 p.m. Services for Oscar D. Moss, 66, of Bakersfield will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 1:00 p.m., in the Mish Funeral Home Chapel with Captain David Ebel of the Salvation Army officiating. An area resident for more than 32 years, Oscar was a truck driver and a welder for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved being a truck driver and was a devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren who he loved to take fishing with him. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Moss; son, James Moss; son, Matthew Moss and his companion, Tom Xavier; daughters, Verna Jackson and Cindy Davis, all of Bakersfield; sister, Katherine Terry of Oklahoma and sister and brother-in- law, Opal and Damon Howard of Susanville; his grandchildren, Billie Jo, Brian, Jo Vona, Seth and Corin. Oscar was preceded in death by his brothers, David and J.R. Moss and his mother, Lillian. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home.
