James Edward 'Jimmy' Valladares
April 8, 1960 November 24, 2004

Visitation for James Edward Valladares 'Jimmy' will be held at Basham Funeral 
Care (3312 Niles St.) on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. and 
the Rosary will be recited Friday evening November 26, 2004 at 7 p.m. at St. 
Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 900 H Street. Mass of the Christian Burial 
will be held also at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday morning 
November 27, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. 

Jimmy as he was affectionately known was born on April 8, 1960 in Bakersfield, 
CA. Jimmy resided in Bakersfield most of his life and also resided in Lompoc, 
CA.

He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1978, participating in football 
and baseball as a Driller. Jimmy followed his beloved Drillers his whole life.

Jimmy married his beloved wife and best friend Lisa Shepherd in 1987. Jimmy 
was employed by Exxon Mobil in 1990 and worked with Exxon as a maintenance 
specialist until his untimely passing.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jack Valladares and brother Jack 
Steven Valladares. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife Lisa; son J.J. and 
daughter Janae; his mother Mary Ellen Valladares; brother Larry Valladares; 
sisters, Nancy Chvala and husband, James and Donna Valladares; sister-in-law, 
Beverly Valladares and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members 
and friends.

Jimmy touched many lives with his caring and sense of humor. He will be deeply

My Dad was a good man. He loves my Mom, my brother and me. I'm going to miss 
you Dad, I hope you will be watching over us. Everyone will always remember 
you Dad and you will forever stay with us. Love your little girl, Janae
