Lou loved to bowl, and said she wanted to be one of the oldest to throw the ball. She had a green thumb, and could never throw away the clipping from a plant. She would start another plant. She loved her church. She worked for the Dorcas, at Hillcrest 7th Day Adventist Church, helping those less fortunate for many years. She was a member of the Oildale 7th Day Adventist Church, and was a greeter, with a smile for everyone who came. Lou was born at home on Seventh Standard Rd. (Seco) to Ezra and Martha Schneider. They moved to Shafter when she was young. She went to Kern Academy. In 1937, she married Austin Wikoff. Lou was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold and Ira Schneider. She leaves behind her husband, Austin Wikoff, of 67 years; her daughter and husband, Janice and Bob Long from Bakersfield; her son and wife, Jack and Joy Wikoff from Fontana; 5 grandchildren, Jeff and Debbie Long, Gary and Pam Long, Troy and Denise Long, Jason and Autumn Wikoff and Jennifer and Scott Buys all of Bakersfield; 11 great-grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda Long, Steven and Nikki Long, Jillynn and Steven Dulcich, Sarah, Amanda, Colleen, Trent, Jacob and Travis Long, Ashlen Wikoff and Emma Buys; 2 great-great grandchildren, Ethan Long and Zachariah Dulcich; brother, Vernon Schneider and wife, Helen of Yuma, AZ; sisters-in-law, Elsie Schneider of Shafter and Ginger Schneider of Gentry, AR; and many more family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to Voice of Prophecy, Box 53055, Los Angeles, CA 90053 or Optimal Hospice, for their wonderful care at 4800 California Ave., 93309. Thank you to Mary Fritzer for being so good to mom, and Dawn for bathing her. You two are the greatest. Mom is asleep and waiting for our Lord to Come, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, so we can all go home to heaven together. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
