Father Mark Lawrence will officiate and interment will follow in Union Cemetery, King and Potomac Streets. Miss Hansen was born April 21, 1918, in Oildale and had been a resident of Bakersfield all her life. She was an 82-year member of St. Pauls, having been baptized at the age of 4 and confirmed at the age of 11. She graduated from K.C.U.H.S. (now BHS) in 1936 and still met monthly with her fellow graduates. She had been a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #125, a 50- year member of the Amaranth Manzanita Court in Porterville, and a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, where she served as President of the El Tejon Parlor #239 in 1951. Phyllis had been an Administrative Assistant for 35 years, last employed by Kern Medical Center. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Ethel Hansen and a three year old sister, Florence. Survivors include her cousins, Susan Salmi of Escalon, CA and Anne Gibson of LaGrange, CA; her church family, Joyce Tanner, Louise and Richard Henderson and Sharon and David Tanner, all of Bakersfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Phyllis M. Hansen Memorial Fund in care of St. Pauls Episcopal Parish, 2216 - 17th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301. No visitation is scheduled.
