Ofelia Caporale

Graveside services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home in Wasco on 
Thursday, December 2, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Wasco Memorial park for Ofelia 
Caporale, age 70, of Wasco, who passed away at her residence in Wasco on 
November 29, 2004. 

Ofelia Caporale was born on May 13, 1934 in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of 
Ramon G. and Martha (Jaimes) Rosales. She attended Wasco Elementary School and 
graduated Wasco Union High School with the class of 1953 and attended 
Bakersfield College. She married John Howard Caporale in February of 1961 and 
he passed away on April 24, 1965. Ofelia was employed by Biofirm, Nelson 
Clothing, Security Pacific Bank and Holloway Gypsum, all in Wasco. After 
retirement, she worked part-time at the library. She attended the 
Congregational Church. She was a coach for Youth Soccer and played in Womens 
Soccer League. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, reading and her 
grandchildren. She ran the 26 mile Honolulu Marathon in 1981.

Ofelia is survived by her daughters, Lisa Hussey and husband, Paul Jake and 
Teresa Cowen and husband, Darren, all of Wasco; brothers, Joe Rosales and 
wife, Phyllis of San Fernando, Johnny Rosales and wife, Doris of San Jose, and 
Ray Rosales of Bakersfield; sisters, Sara Adame of Antelope and Molly 
Contreras and husband, Paul of San Fernando; 4 grandchildren, Cody Peterson, 
JT Cowen, Kelsey and Nicholas Hussey. She was preceded in death by her 
parents, Ramon and Martha Rosales; husband, John Caporale; brother, George 
Rosales and sister, Beatrice Rosales.
