Following a long battle with Hepatitis C, Pasqual passed away with his family and friends at his side on the Saturday evening, November 27, 2004 in Bakersfield, California. Pasqual enjoyed life whether it was watching a football game, going over to the coast or just out eating a nice dinner with family and friends. Over his lifetime, he accomplished many of the goals he had set for himself. Most importantly, he loved and was loved by his wife of 20 years, JoAnn Contreras and his sons. Pasqual is survived by his wife, JoAnn Contreras; son and daughter-in-law, Julian and Jessica Ball; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Steven and Epi Contreras; son, Pasqual Nicholas Contreras; mother, Guadalupe Tapia; sister and brother-in-law, Emelda and Tommy Gomez; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Arlene Tapia; brother and sister-in-law, Fernando and Melinda Tapia; grandchildren, Gregory, Erica, Alexis, Steven, Joey and Isabella; numerous nieces, nephews, god-children, other relatives and many friends. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Madela, Dr. Chowdhury, and their staff for all their care during this difficult time.
