Johnson March 15, 1920 Dec. 1, 2004 Elmer was born in Clarksville Arkansas to William and Bessie Johnson, March 14, 1920. Elmer died Dec. 1, 2004. He was 84. Elmer came to California in 1938, where he met the love of his life Louise Cooper, they married Feb. 20, 1942. They were married 62 wonderful years. Shortly after Elmer and Louise were married, Elmer went in to the service. He served 3 years Sept. 1942 to Oct. 1945, in the military battalion. When he returned home from the service he went to work as a welders helper, then in 1955 Elmer became self employed as a contract welder for 26 years, then retired to a very happy life at home with his wife. Even though Elmer was retired he never stopped. He enjoyed working around the home and yard. Elmer was a loved and respected Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend to many. Elmer was well known for his Christian faith and generosity in helping others. He will be missed very much. He is survived in death by wife, Louise Johnson; son, Kenny Johnson; daughter, Shirley Johnson; daughter-in-law, Beth Dye; grandchildren, Alisha Johnson, Tiffani Lee, Jeff Lee and great grandson, Swayde Riddle. His services will be held at Hillcrest Chapel on Monday, Dec. 6, 2004 at 1 p.m. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
