Erma Margaret Petersen
April 5, 1914 December 3, 2004

Erma Margaret Petersen went to be with our Lord on December 3, 2004. She was 
born a twin on April 5, 1914 in Winthrop, Arkansas. Shortly thereafter she 
moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was predeceased by her twin brother, Ernie 
McKinley, as well as her husband, Herbert Arthur Petersen and granddaughter, 
Karen Lynn Morris and other family members. She is survived by her daughter, 
Nancy Morris; grandson, Charles Paul Morris and wife, Alicia Morris; great-
grandsons, Nathan Morris, Michael Morris, Jason Morris and wife, Tiffany 
Morris. 

Erma retired from Mount Vernon School Cafeteria after working there 25 years. 
She previously worked for Kern General Hospital (now Kern Medical Center). 
Erma was a great animal lover, especially of dogs and after retiring became 
known in her neighborhood as the Dog Lady. She will be greatly missed by her 
family and friends.

Mother, you were the best mother ever and I will miss you terribly but I know 
you are now whole and in a better place. Please kiss Karen for me. Your 
daughter, Nancy
