Margaret Janell Hobbs
Jan. 23, 1921 Dec. 5, 2004

Margaret Janell Hobbs, best known as Mrs. Hobbs and longtime resident of 
Bakersfield has gone home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2004. She had a 
lasting effect on everyone she had met throughout her life. Her doors were 
always open to the hungry and the needy. Her smile, beautiful silver hair and 
her sweet nature will be remembered by all, and missed deeply. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hobbs, her children, Alice, 
Ronnie, Larry, Randy and Stanley. She is survived by her 3 sons, Michael, 
Danny and Richie; and her 4 daughters, Joanne, Leona, Margo and Debra; her 
brother, Vern Lay; 35 grandchildren, and 58 great-grandchildren, many extended 
family and friends.

Visitation and viewing will be held at Kern River Family Mortuary on December 
9, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be Friday, December 10, 2004, at 2:00 p.m.
