Hildebrand May 13, 1921 - December 5, 2004 Lindsey Arthur Hildebrand was born in Evening Shade, Missouri, on May 13, 1921 to William and Sadie Hildebrand. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was a survivor of the Normandy Invasion and the European Theater. He was honorably discharged in December of 1945 after which he moved to Bakersfield, California and met his future bride Betty Lou Goree. They were married on June 20, 1947. Lindsey worked for Standard Oil Company driving truck for over 30 years. Lindsey passed away on the morning of December 5, 2004. He is survived by his sons, Charles Hildebrand, Kenneth Hildebrand and daughter, Mary Plymale; sisters, Pearl Pruett, Thelma McDonnell, Lela Hemmingway and brother, Lorin Hildebrand; along with 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from 6-8 p.m., at Kern River Family Mortuary Chapel, 1900 N. Chester Ave. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highland Manor Ward, 2828 McCray Street.
