Daddy served in WWII in the Army. Upon his return, he worked for Golden Crust Bakery for 21 years. He retired from the US Postal Service after 20 years of service due to his health. Daddys life was changed in 1970 when he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. He served and loved the Lord through his teaching of the word, Sunday School and Bible studies, and his thirst to read The Word. Daddys love for the Lord was shared with whoever would listen. He shared his love of painting by instructing quadriplegic patients at a convalescent home. Daddy was known by the family as the soup maker extraordinaire. He loved to cook, eat and share a meal with family and friends. Daddy always welcomed the stranger and the needy. He loved old movies and sang to Frank Sinatra. Through Daddys illness, his faithfulness and love of life was inspirational to all who met him. Daddys zest for life and incredible sense of humor will be greatly missed. A huge void will be left by Daddys passing. He was loved by All! We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Bakersfield Dialysis, Tri County Transportation, the doctors of Kaiser and a special thanks to Pat Dorsey of Kaiser.
