Villarreal December 1, 1932 - December 6, 2004 Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2004 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Arvin Funeral Home, 600 Tucker Street, Arvin. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held December 9, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Arvin Funeral Home Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 10, 2004 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Father Chumar of Our Lady of Guadalupe will officiate for Emerico Villarreal, 72, who passed away on December 6, 2004. Interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District, Arvin. Emerico was born in General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1956 and later moved to California in 1960. He came to the city of Arvin in 1966 and resided since. He died peacefully in his sleep in Arvin with his family by his side. He was a Farm Labor Supervisor for various local farms and outlaying areas. He was employed by Mike Yurosek and Sons and the last year with Kovacavich Farms. He retired 15 years ago. As a young man he liked to care and raise horses, he would then race them. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Aurora Villarreal; his stepmother, Felipa Mora; his brothers, Alfredo and Alfonso Villarreal. He is survived by his wife, Agustina of 53 years; his children, Maria Alicia and husband, Frank Lopez, Pedro Villarreal, Aurora and husband, Oliverio Vazquez, Maria De Los Angeles and husband Luis Valenzuela, Emerico Jr. and wife, Esther Villarreal, Leroy Villarreal, Atanacio and wife, Star Villarreal, Javier Villarreal, Jerardo Villarreal, Mercedes Villarreal; 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
