Rocky was born on August 22, 1954, in Bakersfield. He and his family moved to the central coast in 1993. Rocky loved to fish and crab on the Pismo pier and at Port San Luis. He was an avid Raiders and Lakers fan and never missed a game. He loved to walk, especially on the Pier with his dad. He loved to barbecue, but his favorite thing was to be with his three grandchildren. He loved music, especially Led Zeplin and Pink Floyd. Rocky is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jan Martin of San Luis Obispo; daughter, Michelle Martin of Atascadero; son, Tommy Martin of San Luis Obispo; grandchildren, Katelyn, Damian and Deja Martin; father and stepmother, Tommy and Shirley Martin of Bakersfield; mother and stepfather, Betty and Don Delong of Cathedral City; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Clifford Nance of Twenty Nine Palms; brother, David Martin of Redlands; stepbrothers, Darrell Richardson of Oxnard, Steve Richardson of Bakersfield and Duane Richardson of Colorado; aunt and uncle, Carolyn and William Poncetta and family; aunt, Dorothy Frizzell and family; uncle, Paul Martin; aunt and uncle, Ophelia and L.D. Martin; cousin, Sharon Buford and family all of Bakersfield; cousin, Mike Martin and family of Santa Maria; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Dave Bender of San Luis Obispo; nephews, Jason Richardson of Colorado; P.J. Bender of San Luis Obispo and Pierce Pain of Redlands; nieces, Jeannie Bender of San Luis Obispo, Aundrea Rainwater of Washington and Kara Pain of Redlands and numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles in Bakersfield. Rockys family and friends will forever miss his love of life, his laugh and his smile.
