Gordon Beale Nov. 17, 1916 - Dec. 8, 2004 Services: Tues., Dec. 14, 11 a.m. A Memorial Service for Reverend C. Gordon Beale will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the First Congregational Church (Stockdale Highway and Real Road) on Tuesday morning, December 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend C. Gordon Beale was born November 17, 1916 in Des Moines, Iowa, and went home to be with our Lord on December 8, 2004, in Bakersfield, California with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marcella Sally Beale; son and daughter- in-law, John Charles Beale and Nancy Kete of Arlington, VA; daughter, Noni Jaie of Pasadena, CA; grandson, Calyspo Jaie stationed at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. Rev. Beale was a United Church of Christ Clergyman who served churches in Connecticut, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, California, Indiana, and New York City. He also served as the Executive Assistant to the President of the United Church of Christ which is headquartered in New York City. After retiring to Cape Cod, he served as Chaplain of the United Church Homes in Hartford, Connecticut. When Rev. Beale was a small child, he moved with his family to Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was a graduate of Worchester Academy in Worchester, Massachusetts, Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Newton, Massachusetts. He served as the minister of the Bakersfield First Congregational Church from 1965 through 1969. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He now abides in Gods eternity. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the Bakersfield First Congregational Church or the Bakersfield Rescue Mission.
