Elma Buchanan 
Nov. 30, 1913 - Dec. 9, 2004

Elma Buchanan was born November 30, 1913 in Clyde, Texas. Went to be with the 
Lord Dec. 9, 2004, in Bakersfield, CA. Married Joseph 'Shorty' Buchanan in 
1937. Lived in McFarland for 60 years. Preceded in death by husband Joseph, 
sons, Benny and Buford. Survived by sons, Arnold and wife, Ola; Charlie and 
wife, Stephanie; Bobby and Delmon. Daughter, Dora James and husband, Weldon. 
Grandchildren, Troy, Mike, Jeff, Josh and Julianne James, Brian and Scott 
Buchanan, Brent and Allie Buchanan, Stephanie Steward, Lawrence, Jackie and 
John Buchanan, Johnny and Robert Buchanan, Charles and Jeremy Buchanan. 14 
Great-grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Julian and Odyssey 
Hospice, for the wonderful care that was given to Elma.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in 
North Kern Cemetery in Delano, CA.
