Maria De Jesus Gonzalez
Rosary: Tues., Dec. 14, 7 p.m.

Mass: Wed., Dec. 15, 10:30 a.m. 

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 
2739 Panama Ln., tonight, December 14, at 7:00 p.m. and a Mass of Christian 
Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 601 E. California Ave., 
Wednesday, December 15 at 10:30 a.m., for Maria De Jesus Gonzalez, 80, who 
passed away, December 10, 2004 in Bakersfield. Father James Catalano will 
officiate. Her sons will be her paulbearers and interment will follow at 
Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park.

Maria was born June 27, 1924 in Jalisco, Mexico and resided in Kern County for 
55 years. Her whole life was her family. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Camilo in 1998; son, Armando in 1946; and son-in-law, Ben F. Calciano 
in 2004. Maria is survived by her daughters, Evangeline Vangie Calciano, Maria 
De Jesus and husband, John Sandoval, Leticia Stewart and fiancé, Jamie, and 
Sylvia Lewis; sons and daughters-in-law, Raul and Deni Gonzalez, Roberto and 
Wendy Gonzalez, Ismael and Toni Gonzalez, Armando and Marie E. Gonzalez, 
Camilo Jr. and Kathryn Gonzalez, Joe and Patricia Gonzalez, Rojelio and Lupe 
Gonzalez, and Rodrigo Gonzalez and fiancé, Lora; 33 grandchildren and 21 great-
grandchildren.

A special thank you from the family to the Odyssey Hospice staff and 
especially to MaryLou Johnson for the love and care they gave our Mom. 

Visitation is scheduled to be held today, December 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 
p.m.
