Wilmar Lloyd Sturgeon
Services: Fri., Dec. 17, 11 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 
Panama Ln., Friday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m., for Wilmar Lloyd Sturgeon, 85, 
who passed away December 13, 2004, in Bakersfield. Pastor Steve Hunt will 
officiate. 

Wilmar was born August 31, 1919, in Paso Robles and resided in Kern County for 
46 years. He was a dispatcher for Granite Construction Company for 13 years. 
Wilmar was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He loved to travel in 
the R.V. and take the grandchildren. Wilmar was a Raiders fan and loved the 
Giants. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather with a great sense of 
humor.

Wilmar was preceded in death by eight siblings. He is survived by his wife of 
63 years, Leversa J. Sturgeon; sons and daughters-in-law, Wilmar Lloyd 
Sturgeon Jr. and Jeanine all of Bakersfield, Morris and Barbara Sturgeon of 
Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Steve Helvie of Bakersfield; 9 
grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Bareclay of Paso Robles; 
sisters-in-law, Carol Stoner of Watsonville and Bonnie Ethridge of Bakersfield.

Visitation will begin Thursday, December 16th at 5:00 p.m.
