Marjorie Ann "Margie" Sanford
Services: Thurs., Dec. 16, 1 p.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Marjorie Ann Margie Sanford, 64. The Lord took her home on December 12, 
2004, in Ridgecrest, California. Pastor Glen Hill will officiate. 

Margie was born on September 6, 1940, in Bakersfield. She managed two Blimpie 
Sandwich Shops for her family in Ridgecrest for 10 years. Margies passions 
were the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, Video Poker but most of all Alan 
Jackson. She loved to draw, sketch art and dance. She had a wonderful life, 
with no regrets and was very proud of her family. They all brought love and 
happiness to her life.

Margie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Rocky Groves 
and Kimmie and David Thatcher all of Ridgecrest, CA; son and daughter-in-law, 
Michael and Francine Sanford of Cypress, CA; five grandchildren, Tisha, Casey, 
Sarah, Jesse and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Trevon and special 
friend, Betty. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Bill 
Sanford; sister, Colleen Williams and brothers, Jesse, Gary and Jimmy Rector.

No visitation is scheduled.
