Huey Printice Brown, Jr.
Dec. 29, 1954 - Dec. 13, 2004

Funeral services for Huey Printice Brown, Jr. will be held in the Basham 
Funeral Care Chapel (3312 Niles St.) on Thursday afternoon December 16, 2004 
at 2:00 p.m. Pastors Lawrence Madrid and Rev. Warren Wheat will officiate. 
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. 

Huey was born December 29, 1954 in Kountze, Texas and he passed away on 
Monday, December 13, 2004, in Bakersfield, California with his family by his 
side. 

Huey is preceded in death by his grandparents, a son, Daniel and a niece, 
Arica Castaneda. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; parents, Huey and Betty 
Brown; brother, David M. Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Hector 
Castaneda; one nephew, Andrew Castaneda; 3 sons, Joseph, Aaron and Joshua 
Brown; daughter, Lindsey and a stepson, Corey Sherrer; and many aunts, uncles 
and cousins who also shared his life.

Huey attended William Penn Elementary School, Emerson Jr. High and Bakersfield 
High School. He joined the Marine Corps in 1973 and was honorably discharged 
in 1977. He was loved by his family and he will be deeply missed. We love you 
Huey! The family would like to thank Rev. Warren Wheat and Pastor Lawrence
