Dorothy Pricilla Ellington
Oct. 12, 1927 - Dec. 11, 2004

Dorothy was born October 12, 1927, in Bakersfield, California. She resided in 
Bakersfield all of her life. She was married to her loving husband, Bobbie 
Hugh Ellington, who preceded her in death. She had two sons, Gary Lee 
Ellington, Terry Michael Ellington and a daughter, Marilyn McNamara, all who 
reside in Bakersfield. Dorothy also had many grandchildren and great-
grandchildren whom she loved very much. 

Dorothy was a wonderful cook and her hobby was collecting cookbooks and 
recipes that she loved to cook for and share with her family and friends. She 
loved to hear about all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildrens 
activities and loved to share those cute stories with her close friends.

Dorothy had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew her. She loved her 
family more than anything but always missed the love of her life, her husband, 
Bob. We will miss her loving spirit but will take comfort in knowing she and 
he are together again.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many people that 
helped care for Dorothy this year and would especially like to thank the 
Ladies at RiverLakes Community Church for the Prayer Quilt she was given and 
all those that prayed for her.

Family services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary.
