Amaro May 27, 1912 - Dec. 18, 2004 Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road., Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 1-4 p.m. A Rosary Recitation will follow on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at St. Francis Church, 900 H Street. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Father Craig officiating. Jessie Amaro was born May 27, 1912 in Fort Hancock, Texas. She passed away December 18, 2004. She resided in many places before settling in Bakersfield in the late 1950s. Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed. Jessie will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her passion for gardening and her enjoyment of cooking. Jessie is survived by her daughters, Nancy and son-in-law, George Oliva, Maria Alti, Julia and son-in-law, Paul Wilson, Emily Esparza; her son Felipe and daughter-in-law, Reba Calzada, 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
