Joyce Ann Gafford

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. 
at Hillcrest Memorial Park for Joyce Ann Gafford, age 54. Joyce passed away on 
December 17, 2004 after a brief illness. Pastor Milt Cole of Riverlakes 
Community Church will officiate at the service. 

Joyce was born in Bakersfield and attended local schools. She graduated from 
West High School in 1968. She worked as an account clerk for the county of 
Kern for 32 years. Joyce was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice and sang 
in church and school choirs for many years. She had a passion for reading and 
loved to knit and crochet. Her sweet and generous spirit touched many lives.

She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her homegoing: sister, Judy 
Choate and husband, Wes; brother, Dan Gafford and wife, Marilyn; nephews, Brad 
Choate and wife, Cami; Mark Choate and wife, Leslie. Nieces, Dana Cunningham 
and husband, Mark and Nicole Bickham and husband, Dan. Great nephews, Cameron 
McHale and Brenden Choate. Great nieces, Ally and Kate Bickham, and Gracen 
Cunningham.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
