Gloria Marie Adams 

Sept. 6, 1930 – Dec. 11, 2004

Recitation of the Rosary and a Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Philip 
the Apostle Church in Bakersfield on Dec. 16, for Gloria Marie Adams, who 
passed away Dec. 11 in Bakersfield. 

Gloria was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Chicago, Ill. She is formerly of  Algonquin, 
Ill., and resided in Tehachapi for the past 18 years. 

Gloria was a beloved wife and wonderful mother to her children and 
grandchildren. She enjoyed her many friends and gardening, especially her 
roses, and was an avid Laker and Cubs fan. 

She found great comfort and joy in the company of her two dogs, Mai-Tai and 
Suki, her cat Morris and bird George.  

Gloria is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jack Adams; two sisters, 
Jeanette (Wayne) Cook and Janice Spzynowski; children, Debbie Majewski of 
Bakersfield, Ted (Teresa) Holterhaus of Genoa, Ill., Bill (Debra) Holterhaus 
of Roscoe, Ill., Carrie Holterhaus of Louisville, Ky, Greg Holterhaus of 
Algonquin, Ill., and Kimberly Holterhaus-Tessmer of Cary, Ill.; and stepson, 
Don (Cathy) Adams of Aurora, Ill.  She was also the proud and loving 
grandmother of 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary Funeral Directors handled the arrangements.
