Visitation will be held Sunday, December 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 27, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10601 Myrtle St., Lamont, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Polis was born on January 9, 1918 in Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Trine; his daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Tom Pounds of Bakersfield, Isabel and John Garcia of Bakersfield; four grandchildren and their husbands, JoAnna Espinoza and Marty Ruiz, DeAnna and Juan Herrera, RoseAnna Espinoza, and Martin Vargas; three great-grandchildren, Jasleena and Marco Antonio Herrera and Daeyln Ruiz Candence. Polis was a longtime resident of Richgrove, California. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 30 years of service. Dad you will always be in our thoughts and hearts. We love you and will miss you so much.
