Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hillcrest. Bob was born on October 31, 1929 in Loma Linda, CA to Edell Heytz Kelley and Tommy Earl Kelley and went peacefully to be at rest in His Lord on December 17, 2004. Bob started driving trucks when he was 13 and began his 60 year career in the transportation industry. In 1976 he and his wife Mary came to Bakersfield and he was the co-owner and general manager for Flair Transportation Co. Inc. Bob was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He was a member of the Oildale SDA Church. He loved flying planes, riding motorcycles and quads, sailing and hitch hiking. He and Mary love to travel and on one of their trips, hitch hiked over 1100 miles, they have toured more than half of the U.S. as well as many foreign countries. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Martha Ann Barnett Kelley. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Ruth Morris Kelley; sons, Kenneth Earl Kelley, David A. Kelley, Richard D. Rogers, Randy L. Rogers and wife Diane, and Andy D. Rogers and wife Sheila; daughters, Mary Ann Marconette and husband Larry, Beverly Mae Darrow and husband Nick, Rebecca L. Tanner and husband Jimmy, Lorinda Gannon, and fiancé Brian Hoffmann; 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and many, many friends who loved him dearly.
