Mrs. Mullins passed away in Bakersfield on December 25, 2004. The Cruzan family moved from Phoenix to Whittier around 1922 and from Whittier to Tupman in 1929. Ruth attended school in Phoenix, Whittier, and graduated from Taft Union High School with class of 1932. She married Coy F. Mullins December 28, 1934 in the Baptist Church of Tupman. Ruth and Coy lived in Tupman, Avenal, Downey, Laguna Hills and briefly in Bakersfield . during and after World War II, Ruth worked at McDonnell Douglas as a draftsman. Ruth was an accomplished artist and her work is treasured by her family and friends. Her gentle and kind ways will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Ruth is survived by two brothers and their spouses, Bob and Joan Cruzan of Nipomo and Roy and Linda Cruzan of Taft; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Coy in 2002. Ruth resided at Glenwood Gardens during the past three years where she was lovingly cared for. Graveside funeral services will be held in Rose Hills Memorial park in Whittier on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations be made in Mrs. Mullins name to Hoffmann Hospice. There are no visitations hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home.
