She is survived by her son, Marion (Bud) Benbow and wife, Maxine of Rancho Cordova, CA; daughters, Kathryn Carver and husband, Alex, Jean Ingram and husband, Leon of Atascadero, CA, Grace Salvestrin and husband, Silvio; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sons by association are Bob Giblon and Ray Harding. During the Depression with so many people out of work those that came to our door were always fed a meal. World War II brought problems of food and gas rationing, two sons in the Marine Corp, and a husband working long hours, she still managed to keep us well fed and clothed. She was an excellent cook and her canned vegetables, fruits and preserves were not only delicious but beautiful works of art. She always grew a big garden and beautiful flowers. She also was an excellent seamstress making all of her own clothes and most of ours. Relatives and our friends were always welcome in our home. Later in her life she continued to work as a caregiver to the elderly and to many children. Our family would like to express appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Bansal and Dr. Patel, and the entire staff at the Delano District Skilled Nursing Facility for the wonderful care our mother received. Also, a special thanks to Jeanne Holst, R.N. of Optimal Hospice Care and their staff. Mother, your days work is done and you are in Gods hands rest in peace.
