James Samuel Blount
Services: Mon., Jan. 3, 11 a.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith 
Temple, 1227 Park Drive, for James Samuel Blount, 49, who passed away on 
December 27, 2004, in Arvin, CA. His son, Rev. Cameron Blount will officiate. 

James more commonly known as Sam by family and friends was born August 5, 1955 
in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Haskell and Norma Jean Blount.

Sam is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy Blount; his son, Cameron and 
wife, Shandi Blount; and his daughter, Meghan Blount all of Bakersfield; his 
two grandsons, Tyler and Titus; one brother and two sisters, Dewayne and Jodie 
Blount, Diane and Troy Parent, Karen and Dick Miller; numerous nephews, 
nieces, relatives and friends.

Sam has finally been restored to wholeness in the presence of his Lord and 
Savior, Jesus Christ and has been reunited with his father and mother around 
Gods Throne.

Gone from our presence but not our hearts.

We love you Sam.

Visitation will be at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Avenue, on 
Saturday and Sunday, January 1st and 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interment will 
be at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary immediately following the service.
