Bert M. Klein
Services: Thursday, July 1, 10 a.m.

Bert M. Klein of Wofford Heights who was born in South Bend, IN, on August 14, 
1923, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 62 
years, Jean Klein; sons, Chris, his wife, Jan and grandson, Kevin of Virginia; 
Bruce, his wife, Sheri and son, Joey and great-granddaughter, Serenity of 
Oregon; Tom, his wife, Linda of Lake Isabella and daughter, Vanessa, husband, 
Nick Hay and great-grandsons, West and Jack of Ridgecrest, and daughter, Tracy 
Griswold of Mt. Mesa. 

A World War II Veteran, Bert served in the Army in the Pacific. He was a paint 
contractor until he retired. Bert and Jean retired to Wofford Heights in 1979 
where he tried his best at growing a vegetable garden while chasing the 
rabbits, lizards, gophers and squirrels away. And if you ever came across him 
at the Post Office or anywhere else in the valley he would always have some 
story or joke to share with you. 

Bert had a heart of gold and will be missed by all his family and friends.

A visitation wil be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary. 
Graveside serices will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Kern 
River Valley Cemetery.
