A Rosary will be held at St. Timothys Catholic Church in Morro Bay Tuesday evening, January 4th at 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 5th at 10:00 a.m. She was born January 9, 1921 in Delano, CA. She was the youngest child of James Berle and Catherine Nicely. She received her B.A. from Fresno State and a Fifth Year Degree in Library Science from USC. She went to work for the Kern County Library where she met her future husband, Peter Joseph Moloney, a wayward Englishman who was checking out books. Married August 29, 1953, they settled in Morro Bay where they raised their six children. She loved her garden, camping with family, cats, and reading. Most of all, she loved her husband who preceded her in death in 1987. She was kind to strangers and a beacon to all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Anna and Terry Welborn and family of Arroyo Grande, John and Babette Moloney and family of Oxnard, Pete and Neva Moloney of Arroyo Grande, Tom and Meg Moloney of Mussleburgh, Scotland, Patrick and Mary Moloney and family of Los Osos. Monica Moloney and fiancé, Jamie Irons of Morro Bay. May she rest in peace. Donations may be made in her name to Catholic Relief services in care of St. Timothys Catholic Church in Morro Bay.
