Larry Nathan Brown

Larry Nathan Brown was born on February 2, 1952 to Sam and Annie Brown of 
Wasco, California. 

He attended school in Wasco where he was very active in the Future Farmers of 
America. After graduating from Wasco Union High School, he married and went to 
work for Occidental Petroleum, which he retired from after working there for 
over thirty years.

Larry loved his music! He also enjoyed being with his friends, whom he often 
referred to as Otis. He loved people and he lived life to the fullest.

He passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2004. Preceding him in death were his 
father and mother, Sam and Annie Brown and his youngest son, Jeremie Nathan 
Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Donna Brown; three 
children, Vericia Brown Stephenson of Inglewood, CA, Natosha Brown of Las 
Vegas, Nevada and Jaron Brown of Bakersfield, CA; three stepchildren, Whitney 
Williams of Ventura, CA, Bernal Ellis of Bakersfield, CA and Jason Ellis of 
Bakersfield, CA; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two sisters, 
Pamela Shugart of Wasco, CA, Linda Reed (Dennis) of Bakersfield, CA; one 
brother, Bob Brown of Wasco, CA and special brother, Mitch Maxey and a host of 
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at 
Jerusalem Mission Church of God In Christ, 924 Cottonwood Road.
