She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Forester Shelton and son, Hubert Shelton. Pearline leaves behind sons, Bill and wife, Imogene Shelton, Acie Shelton; daughters, Pauline Shoemake, Bonnie Oleson and husband, Robert, Wilma Jean Spainhoward, Lila Boothe and husband, Calvin, Quanda Shelton, Barbara Spanke and husband, Roger; daughter-in-law, Joyce Shelton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Pearline was born in the Oklahoma Territory to William T. Crane and Sarah Ellah Ford, later married, and with her family, migrated to California during the dustbowl era. She worked in farm labor, was an active member of her church, and was known for her creative and artistic abilities. She loved spending time crafting and crocheting. Gatherings at Grandmas were memorable times. Especially when scattered loved ones came together for holidays. She didnt go to grand places or do extraordinary things, but she was a grand and extraordinary woman, and the family drew strength and wisdom from her. She will be deeply missed, and cherished always. Private graveside services will be at Arvin Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Hopson-Anspach Mortuary in Bakersfield.
