Dorothy Ruth Thurman

Nov. 8, 1911 – Dec. 23, 2004

Dorothy Ruth Thurman, 93, passed away on Dec. 23, 2004 at her home in 
Tehachapi from congestive heart failure.

Dorothy was born on Nov. 8, 1911 in Gilroy to Herman and Bessie Herwig. She 
was the beloved wife of Robert Thurman. After 53 years of marriage, Robert 
passed away in January of 2004 in Hemet.

After his death, Dorothy moved to Tehachapi to make her home with her son and 
daughter-in law, Jack and Debi Dufur.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Jack Dufur and wife Debi of Tehachapi, and 
Bill Dufur and wife Florence of Campbell; granddaughter, Michelle Dufur; and 
grandsons, Mark Dufur and Matthew Dufur.

Per Dorothy’s request, no services will be held. Wood Family Funeral Services 
handled the cremation arrangements.
