Collier of Bakersfield. Rev. Father Craig Harrison will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. On January 1, 2005 our beloved father was called home to join the Angels and Saints in Heaven. Kemp was born September 14, 1915 in Texas. In 1922 he moved to Kern County to farm with his family in the Arvin area. Kemp met and married Dena Pierucci in 1937, a marriage that was blessed with five children and lasted 64 years before Denas passing in 2002. Kemp, a 32nd Degree Mason, was retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad and Atlantic Richfield. He leaves behind his sons, Marc Collier and wife, Janet, Dennis Collier and wife, Angela, Steven Collier and wife, Sandy, Michael Collier and wife, Sue; and daughter, Kimberley Daramy and husband, Henry; His memory will be cherished by his 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. Kemp is also survived by his sister, Daphna Coletti; sister-in- law, Lena Antongiovanni and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. J.R. Kim, the staff at Oakdale Heights and Hoffmann Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions in Kemps memory be made to the Alzheimers Disease Foundation Of Kern County, 5500 Olive Dr., Bakersfield, CA 93308.
