Jesse was born on March 29, 1933 in Robertstown, Texas to Manuel and Cayetana Bustamante and he went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2005, with his family by his side in Los Angeles, CA. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Cayetana Bustamante; brothers, Antonio, Francisco and Benito Bustamante; grandson, Armando Stephen Zuniga. Jesse is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Ruby (Neira) Bustamante; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Armando Zuniga; daughters, Rosemary, Linda, and Martha Bustamante; devoted daughter, Nancy Trinidad and fiancé, Oscar Checa, all of Los Angeles; loving son and daughter-in-law, Jose Jesus Bustamante, Jr. and Paula; brothers, Manuel and Gregorio Bustamante; sisters, Josephine Garcia and Juanita Rodriguez; grandsons, Hector Cancino, Eric Zuniga, Christopher Gonzalez, Justin and Jeremy Bustamante; granddaughters, Laurie, Jessica and Amanda Zuniga, Stephanie Bustamante, Genine Gonzalez and Courtney Browers; and 10 great-grandchildren. Our Dad was a friend to all who knew him. He bought and sold tools at the Rosemead Swapmeet for thirty years with Ruby always by his side. He and Ruby met while working in the fields and traveled all over the Western United States. Eventually, they settled in Los Angeles where Dad worked tirelessly to support his family, always putting their needs before his own. Dad, we love you, until we meet again Gods Garden God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering: He knew you were in pain. He also knew in Heaven you would never hurt again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills harder to climb. So he closed your weary eyes and whispered Peace Be Thine. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didnt go alone, For part of us went with you the day God called you Home. If tears could build a staircase, and memories a lane, We would walk all the way to Heaven and bring you home again. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
