Services: Wed., Jan. 12, 10 a.m.

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, January 11, at 7:00 p.m., at 
Doughty-Calhoun-OMeara Chapel for Vera Salomon, 81, who passed away January 5, 
2005 in Bakersfield. Graveside services will be held at Union Cemetery on 
Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Father Craig Harrison will 
officiate. 

Vera was born to Tony and Juanita Camarena on September 25, 1923 in 
Bakersfield. She graduated from Kern Union High School in 1941, becoming an 
excellent bookkeeper and thoroughly enjoyed it for over 40 years.

Vera is survived by her son, Sammy Salomon and wife, Jeanette; grandchildren, 
Charlene Macial, Teri Trotter and Kyle and Samantha Salomon; two great-
grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Behill and husband, Alfred and numerous 
nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in 
death by her sons, David Macial and Servin Salomon and her sisters, Cecelia 
Dominguez and Dolores Camarena.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Veras favorite physician, 
Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed for his kind, professional and compassionate care over the 
years. Vera will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Masses be celebrated in Veras 
memory and that you keep her in your prayers.
