She was a former teacher and a longtime resident of Bakersfield. She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2005 in Morro Bay, California where she resided during her last few years. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 51 years, John M. Williams and her beloved grandson, James P. Romley. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Catherine Romley of Cambria, CA and Dorothy Anne Stempin of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by her three grandsons, William, Michael and Ted Romley, all of Bakersfield, CA; her granddaughter, Diane Mansell of Fort Laurderdale FL; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
