Guy Services: Tues. Jan. 11, 10 a.m. Services will be held in Trinity Methodist Church, 724 Niles Street for James L. Guy, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2005, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 78. Jim was born in Tacoma, WA on April 3, 1926. Rev. Madeline K. Elsea will officiate. James is survived by his wife, Helen J. Guy of 53 years of matrimony; son, Ronald J. Guy and wife, Anna Guy, daughter, Laurie K. Earnshaw and husband, Randy Earnshaw; grandsons, Robert J. Guy and Mitchell Guy; brother, Norris Guy and wife, Jeanne Guy, sister, Phyllis Salmon, and numerous nephews and nieces. He always looked forward to the annual family reunions at the lake, and traveling with his wife. James was an avid Oakland Raiders and LA Lakers fan. James was a WWII Naval Veteran. He received several medals including the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign (1 star), American Area Campaign, WWII Victory, and the Phillipine Liberation. James was in the Oil and Gas Business for 50 years as a Certified Professional Landman. Mr. James L. Guy will be missed greatly by his loved ones and the many friends he made through the years. God bless us all. In lieu of floral gifts, contributions may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church located at 724 Niles St., Bakersfield, CA 93305, in the Guy Family name. Your donations would be much gratified.
