Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park., 2739 Panama Ln., Thursday, January 13 at 11:00 A.M. for William Haskell Pinckard, 83, who passed away January 9, 2005 in Bakersfield. Rev. Edith Gilman will officiate. William was born November 10, 1921 in Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 50 years. He was a carpenter all of his life. William was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Masons, Shriners, Eastern Star, and a big time Democrat where he received multiple awards for his service to the Democratic Party. He was a business rep for local #743 Carpenters Union and was recognized by the Labor Union for his years of service and dedication. William was a W.W. II Navy Seabee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pinckard: and son, Gary Pinckard. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Bruce; grandsons, Nathan Bruce, Jeff Bruce, Tommy Pinckard and Floyd Pinckard; granddaughter, Rhonda Pinckard; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tommy Pinckard.
